Some problems need to be solved after my AS level exams!

1.Given a,b,c are random real numbers,so for ax2+bx+c=0,what's the probability that the roots are real?
 
2.I did the experiment about pendulum yesterday in physics class,I did it outside first having strong wind.There is no doubt that the wind is a vital factor to the data collection.So can I just collect the datas and calculate the relatively accurate value in mathematical way,if assume the wind has a constant effecting force F?Furthermore,if I'm doing it in a closed space(no wind),can I calculate the magnitude of air resistance in maths way,assume air resistance is constant?Or,calculate the relationship between the speed and the force?
 
3.Everyone knows TNT explodes,but is there any relationship(linear?quadratic?or cube?)between explosion effecting area and the quantity of TNT we used,if the surrounding of explosion is given?If it exists,that's easy for control the TNT,I believe there is and someone knows,but I want to try to figure out by myself.And,I want to make a very very simple and cheap timer for TNT to make it become a time bomb to make these trials safer.By the way,I'm not a terrorist but interested in it!!!

Thinking after I saw the cleaner at the bus stop.

Today's noon my family went to a restaurant.By the way,it's really an ideal one during holidays.on the way back,father's car passed a bus stop and I saw a cleaner was cleaning the ads. sticking on the bus stop wall,it's obviously a tough task and it took time for the guy who was cleaning it,moreover,it seems impossible for him to clean it up because of the remainders of the glue.It's no doubt that in China there are different kinds of ads. pasted on the walls,on the ground,on the street posts,or even on or under the overpasses.And the advertisements can be about everything---applications for jobs,venereal diseases,personal detective,or some sex trades.
 
So are there any machines or tools for the cleaners which can clean up the ads automatically?I think yes,and it's necessary for someone to invent one for them,or let's say,for the enviornment.After roughly thinking about this,I think there are three parts are needed for the machine:brushes connected with a motor,water gun,and the paper collector.The general shape can be the carrying of the "insects killer"---with a metal box and a insecticide shooting gun.OK,be more specific,the metal box can be a store of detergent and the remainder of ads,of course divided into two parts.And I think a motor need to be combined with this.The gun is a little bit complicated,three parts:brushes,detergent coming out points,kind of ads collecting machine(can be the same principle as dust catcher).A little bit confusing about how to combining them together?Let me try to analysis and explain it in detail---
▲Brushes:
First the area of the brush part should be larger than any kinds of ads outside,so according to my memory,A4 paper large is enough.Being of great difficulty is the different surfaces the ads pasted on---like on the wall is flat,while on the street posts is bent,round surface.It made me think of a special thing,razors,some of them can fit the shape of the face automatically.So we can also make the A4 large cleaner into three parts,which can be bent or flatted(I'm not sure fixed of not) depending on where it's cleaning.Secondly I think the hardness of the brushes should be taken into consideration because some of the surfaces be cleaned is make of plastic,which means if our brush is too hard it'll left some uncomfortable marks.We'd better collect the information about the surface meterials testing their stand-most hardness of brushes.(The picture followed is one of the examples for plastic one.)
▲Detergent gun:

Actually,they're just pipelines connected to a tank of detergent.Let's assume there are four pipelines,in the four corners of the A4 cleaner(let me call it this coz I can't think of a better name),towards different parts of the ads.The pressure is hard to contral because if it's too small it won't work and if too big it'll cause danger.I think like the one in the car's front window is just enough.

▲Paper collector:

After cleaning there must be some ads in pieces left,so this machine is better with a collector.According to its shape,I think the one like dust catcher is only the perfect match.It can be equipped behind the brushes.Not hard-making right?Or,it always be hard at the beginning...

 

All above is the general shape and function of the cleaner,I think it's very helpful to help cleaner to clean up the ads,not hard-making nor costly,necessary for our nice living place.Why not?

General thinking about my "Water Planning".

Water waste has become a big deal to China,not only because of the big population,but the wrong thinking of water also.So saving water is a necessary task to the world.But saving in factory,that is,by industry way,is too far away from me,and I believe there must be something they can do to limit the water use.On the other hand,amount of water used in family way is much greater than factories do.Moreover,the number of ways in using cause a lot of recycled spaces,e.g.water used to wash fruits can be reused in gardening.
 
Following,list out the ways of using water:
 
◆Washing room use:
①Used in washing hands,face,clothes(washing machine),or taking showers.
Water after these kind of using are not polluted so badly so can be well-recycled.This kind of water always contains the remainder of soaps,which is called soapsuds.I think here the PH value may be relatively higher,neutralization is needed.Other chemical can be decomposed in chem. ways,I'll test the possible compounds in water later and give solutions.Additional,nowadays,the daily use are more and more harmful to humans,like perfumes and some men-use,so if the faces washed carrying these things,better ways need to be carried out here to make them less harmful to us.
②Used in cleaning the excretion of humans or pets fed in family.
Personally thinking,to clean this kind of water is almost the hardest in all kinds of water in family use.Thought to be the dirtiest,actually it mainly contains urea(A water-soluble compound,CO(NH2)2,that is the major nitrogenous end product of protein metabolism and is the chief nitrogenous component of the urine in mammals and other organisms.[also]carbamide---explained by AHD),and the mixture is complex,but bio-decomposition may be available to this situation,the thing is,how to identify the different kinds of organisms?Information collecting&technical help is needed here.

◆Gardening use:

①Used in planting.

Here is much easier,because plants don't absorb all the water we give them,the remaining become a waste if we don't deal with it.Like flowerpot,we can make a special net seperating sands the stones from water,after this,collect the clean by a pipe or something.But it seems not so necessary here,or if there is a fish pool,just connect them together?

②Used in fishing pool.

Seems hard to reuse water here because fishes better live under an open condition,almost impossible and useless to collect the vaporized water,so maybe here can be made to be a final destination of water,i.e.all the water that hard to recycled anymore can put into the pool if the family has one,a little bit cruel to the fishes.I'll think of another better way.

◆Kitchen use:

①Used in washing rice,vegetables,fruits,etc.

Here I think water waste most coz almost clean,but now we just let them flow away.And this kind of water is easy to be cleaned,but the technical difficulty is the pipes,that is,how to deal with the water,store it?Use a tank?

②Used in washing dishes.

This is relatively harder,containing detergent and oil mixture,always appear as a base.Can we just seperate water and oil by the density differences?seperate layer?Experimental effort is needed here.

③Used in cleaning meats,like chicken,anything bloody things.

Blood,which is the bio things,not harmful,but the viruses carried by the meats should be take into consideration.Maybe high temperature is helpful here,around 353K is enough for killing the mojarity viruses.

 

According to the analysis above,seems the most difficult part is dealing with the chemical and the whole system setting.Different houses have their own structures,so fixed pipes and recycled sections are not available in this plan.And how to store the water after cleaning?Simply by a tank?But again from tank to pipe we transmit the water by what?Pressure?If that so,the cost of setting the system is high,which is meaning hard to be popularized.

 

All in all,the general goal of this "Water Planning" is to make up a system for different kinds of houses which can save water by adding pipes and simple machines.Keep the cost of the system cheap and useful,better it's so worthy and convinent that every family use it.And don't just satisfy with 2-time use of water,as many as possible.If all these happened,water would be saved in a amazing speed.
